hey friends,

just incase anyone thought we’d be sitting on our laurels after our first album came out in Decemeber, i’m am here to put that idea to rest.

yesterday we gave birth to an idea. that idea gave birth to some pretty snazzy new artwork (that i made by ripping up paper and drawing stuff), and voila — this is how an EP is born. the EP will be called “Lola” after the title track. the common thread binding this particular group of songs together will be that each song was written to a specific person (not just about them, but to them!). and if the artwork is any indication, we are grouping together songs that i think have a bit sunnier feeling to them. to tantalize your taste buds, i will also be giving the cover art and the song “Lola” their world premier right here on the website. so, be expecting some new music on iTunes (and other digital outlets) within the next few months, and in the meantime enjoy this preview.

we say hello to thee, internet.

we love our cds ;)
this website marks the beginning of window view’s venture into ‘official website’-dom. it’s not the flash-iest (get it, all you ‘net geeks, it’s a pun) site but it’s ours. we will be using this corner of the web to periodically be providing updates on shows, news, and random happenings in the world of window view.

i suppose to summarize, for us, it’s about two things:

    community and music.

there was a time in my life where i confused the two and enrolled at a community-college music program, but no need to worry, it only lasted one quarter – i learned my lesson fast. but in short, we will be keeping those two big ideas as driving imperative here. and in the spirit of that, we will always be trying to think of new ways to accomplish these big ideas. i hope this is the beginning of a long and healthy stay in the house that Al Gore built/invented. yeah, i went there.
